The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the supervision and assignment of the Registered Nurse, provides nursing care to hospice patients and/or family within their home setting.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience caring for terminally ill patients and will demonstrate basic understanding and commitment to the hospice concept. Experience in home care, skilled nursing facilities and/or oncology preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to work non-judgmentally with patients and families of many cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles as well as good listening, computer and verbal skills. Flexibility is essential.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of one to two years prior bedside nursing experience required
• Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must have a current, valid New York State driver's license and own transportation

The pay for this position ranges from $32 – 40 per hour.
