The Hospice Inpatient Center RN is responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients and/or family at the Good Shepherd Hospice Inpatient Center, focusing on symptom management, pain control and emotional support. The quality of care provided will be consistent with the Standards of Practice determined for the hospice program and the hospice plan of care.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures. Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from an NLN-Accredited nursing program. Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• One to two years recent general bedside nursing experience with good clinical skills.
