Confie Administrative Services is Hiring an Employee Benefits Specialist Near Farmers, TX

Pay Range:

  • $24 - 27 / Hr

Purpose

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating employee benefits records; answering employee inquiries through email and phone calls; and/or reconciling billing

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and run benefit eligibility reports for reconciliation in billing and/or new hire enrollments
  • Conducts benefits orientation; advises employees and management on benefit options
  • Ensures enrollments and/or terminations are updated in the HR system and various carrier websites
  • Answers benefit emails and benefits hotline on a daily basis to resolve employee inquiries and/or issues
  • Maintain and update employee benefits records through online data input with minimum supervision and direction
  • May oversee and be responsible for certain benefit areas i.e. Arrears, Billing, STD LTD claims, etc.
  • Process life qualifying events; dependent document collection
  • Researches and recommends any operational issues or other benefits-related problems to the root cause and shares knowledge with management
  • Interacts with payroll for benefit deduction corrections; pre-check payrolls to ensure benefit deductions are correct
  • Stays current on changing Federal and State regulations as it pertains to benefits
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High school and/or Associates degrees are preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • One to three years of benefits-related experience
  • Good numerical analysis skills
  • Possess the trait of being organized and following a systematic method of performing a task
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks and projects

Preferred Skills

  • Computer skills: Excel (pivot tables/V Lookup), Word, PowerPoint
  • Familiar with working HR/Benefits systems for data entry, inquiries, and running reports
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely
  • Provide customer service in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner; use empathetic listening skills
