Fairview, PA

Leading manufacturer of high-pressure equipment has an opening in the Erie area for a full-time CAD Designer.

Put your technical education to work building real-world products. This position involves managing multiple projects to serve our worldwide industrial customer base.

Duties include:

  • Work with engineering to make AutoCAD drawings, including mechanical assembly drawings, detail drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and outline drawings.
  • Prepare engineering change documentation.
  • Work with manufacturing to resolve shop and design issues and make as-built revisions.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Additional duties may be assigned depending on experience.

Required Skills:

  • Two or four year degree.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards
  • Productive without intensive supervision or training.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor or similar software.
  • Understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerancing and drawing views.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Solid modeling of mechanical and process piping assemblies, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience in creating electrical schematics.
  • Experience with hydraulic components, assemblies, and schematics.
  • Experience with fabricated assemblies, structural steels, and welding symbols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
