A family office located in lower Fairfield County is looking to hire an Accountant as an addition to staff. The person will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations along with directing one staff member. The company has sustained for over 30 years now and had plans of expanding on funds. An ideal candidate will have 3 years working out of a financial services firm and has worked with accounting systems. The compensation is above market, the bonuses are generous and the culture is tight-knit.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute daily and monthly performance reports
- Coordinate time processing of daily data from several banking institutions and fund admins in a variety of delivery methods
- Reconcile and maintain reporting of transaction activity
- Perform frequent internal reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow projects
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting of related discipline
- 4 years of alternative asset/trust/partnership accounting
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working with APX, Solovis, or Backstop preferred
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
