Harvey Price is Hiring a Fire Sprinkler Fitter Near Eugene, OR

*Currently, we have openings for experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitters. The primary responsibilities may include performing installations, making modifications or repairs to sprinkler systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Layout product for installation, stage tools, and execute basic piping installation jobs.
  • Read and understand fire sprinkler blueprints.
  • Employ safety measures while installing a fire safety system.
  • Perform tasks, measuring, marking, cutting, and threading pipe for installation.
  • Connect fittings and sprinkler heads to the pipe, then test the system to ensure there are no leaks.
  • Keep abreast with the latest developments in fire sprinklers, NFPA fire sprinkler codes.
  • Document all details of the work.
  • Daily communications with the Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on job progress.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of tools.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Fire Sprinkler Installer or Service experience.
  • Excellent judgment and analysis skills
  • Must be highly organized, systematic, and adherent to construction deadlines.
  • Steel experience including cutting, threading, and grooving black steel pipe.
  • CPVC experience including cutting, reaming, welding, and hanging CPVC pipe.
  • Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pump systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to read, and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
  • Strong computer and phone skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and iPhone apps and functions).
  • Must be able to work alternate shifts or weekends as needed to meet customer service on call requirements.

Preferred:

  • City and State Fire Sprinkler Journeyman license.
  • NICET II Certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
