Job Description
Position Title: Teacher
Qualifications: Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with proper
endorsement(s) and, if applicable, Highly Qualified Teacher
designation for teaching assignment.
Reports To:Principal and designees
Supervises:Students and assigned staff
Job Goal:To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute
to their development as mature, able, and responsible citizens.
Length of Contract:187 Days
Performance Responsibilities:
- Determines individual and classroom needs.
- Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences.
- Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
- Exhibits positive human relations skills.
- Evaluates the educational programs and/or student progress.
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders including students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
- Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Maintains and submits records and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Adheres to Eufaula City Schools Board of Education policy and administrative guidelines, and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Spends additional hours on campus participating in faculty meetings, parent conferences, in-service education meetings, PTO meetings, and with other obligations and duties.
- Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal, as long as they are not in conflict with board policy.
Evaluation: Evaluation is conducted by the Principal and designees.
Salary: Established by the Board of Education as recommended by the
Superintendent
