Reliance Connects is Hiring a Fleet Mechanic Near Estacada, OR
Responsibilities:
- Perform upkeep and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered engines, electrical and mechanical components, and other equipment as needed.
- Diagnose issues, adjust, refurbish, and repair various types of vehicles.
- Recommend part replacements or services to maintain fleet safety and reliability.
- Sound understanding of repair tools, equipment, and diagnostic testing tools.
- Ability to diagnose and perform routine repairs on engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, fuel, and ignition.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal customers.
- Auto body repair and painting skills are a plus.
- Proficiency in welding and electrical work.
- Effective coordination with coworkers and other departments.
- Ability to order spare parts and ensure timely arrival for repairs.
- Experience with routine truck repair and maintenance, including air brakes.
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant degree/diploma from an accredited institution.
- Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience as a fleet mechanic, with ASE certifications as a bonus.
