Minimum 1 years special education experience required.

We are actively seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time roles within school districts in the Emporia, Kansas area for the upcoming school year.

As an applicant, you must meet all local and state requirements, which include :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification in Kansas
• Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas based on students' IEP goals
• Utilize various instructional strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support students' academic and behavioral success
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior
