French Creek Golf Club is Hiring an Assistant banquet manager Near Elverson, PA

Be a full-time team leader at one of Chester County's leading wedding and event venues. Become a part of our esteemed management team to create an exceptional experience and ensure the success of every event.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold pre- function staff meetings to ensure communication, efficient service and coordination of assigned tasks for event staff.
  • Ensure event staff are well groomed and in proper uniform.
  • Responsible for initial and continual staff training in all aspects on banquet procedure.
  • Responsible for planning employment needs for event staffing.
  • Work with Event Manager to coordinate scheduling.
  • Be an active leader in assisting staff with set up and break down for all events, ensure proper procedures are being followed in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement and monitor standards of service and coordinate catering activities to ensure that a high quality of production and service is constantly maintained.
  • Assist staff with food and beverage service throughout the event as needed
  • Be present and visual for clients during events to ensure satisfactory communication between French Creek Golf Club and the client.
  • Develop and maintain awareness of standards regarding banquet policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in weekly department meetings.
  • Ability to execute a banquet event order with accompanying floor plan
  • Assure proper inventory of all banquet service items which include, but are not limited to : silverware, flatware, glassware, AV equipment, tables, chairs and linen.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of all items and rooms that pertain to the banquet department.
  • Assure that the proper building opening and closing procedures are followed.
  • Transfer the necessary information about all events to the Event Manager after the event has been completed.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years food and beverage related experience in hospitality
  • Ability to manage and interact positively with both staff and guests
  • Must be highly organized
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift / assist / carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to quick changes prior / during / after an event
  • Ability to professionally articulate communication between client or other employees
  • Computer Skills

Microsoft word, Excel and POS preferred

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full time management benefits package including vacation pay, sick day pay, health, dental, vision, short and long term disability and direct deposit.
