Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Location: Elmhurst, NY

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:

• Preparing and administering radioactive drugs.
• Capturing images that a physician will use to diagnose an infection or disorder.
• Limiting radiation exposure to the patient and staff members administering the tests.
• Analysing specimens in the lab.
• Setting up appointments.
• Explaining procedures to patients.
• Nuclear medicine technologists are typically employed by hospitals, universities, medical clinics, imaging clinics, diagnostic labs, and research centers.
• They prepare and give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body.

Job Requirements:

• 1 year Nuclear Medicine Technology experience, Relevant Equipment
• BLS
• Associate degree

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 5 Days a week

Pay: $56.00 - $60.00 per hour
