St. John’s Parish Day School is a Young 3’s through Grade 5 co-ed Elementary School. Currently, we are seeking experienced, creative and dynamic Lower School educator with a passion for teaching! This is a full-time teaching position in our premier academic school. This teacher reports directly to the Assistant Head and will enjoy professional development opportunities throughout the year as well as working with a fantastic team.

Highlights of our program include a hands-on discovery based curriculum with accelerated course work aligned with the broader National Standards. We have a literature-based reading curriculum utilizing a variety of resources. This educator will instruct in the areas of language arts, math, social studies, and science.

Candidates for this position should possess an undergraduate degree in early childhood or elementary education, have work experience in an academic environment as well as a commitment to faith-based education. Candidates with the appropriate degree(s), experience, and a desire to teach Lower School students will be ideal for this position. State certification in early childhood or elementary instruction is desirable but not required.

Compensation and benefits are competitive with other area private schools and are adjusted based on experience and credentials.
