uPerform is Hiring a System Administrator Near Elkridge, MD
The ideal candidate should have strong technology skills with a positive attitude and willingness to work with both new and existing technologies. The System Administrator will be responsible for providing daily technical support to all global employees, maintaining endpoints, managing internal servers and network, and managing AD and federated authentication. The System Administrator will be the first point of contact for issues reported to the IT team and will collaborate with other team members to achieve quick resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as initial point of contact to support all computer and technical issues for global user base
- Maintain and troubleshoot systems to include the following: desktops, servers, VM's and network equipment
- Create and maintain accurate documentation to reduce time to resolution and proactively identify potential issues
- Software and hardware inventory management
- Management and collaborate closely with service providers/vendors
- Manage user provisioning, new hire on-boarding, and IT communications within the organization
- Assist with Information Security compliance initiatives (audits, training, etc.)
- Possess strong desire to develop skillset to include cloud experiences (AWS, Azure)
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical helpdesk / system administrator environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Windows 11 / Server 2016 )
- Microsoft Office and Office 365 administration
- Azure AD / Federated identity (SAML, OAuth)
- Backups / Disaster Recovery
- In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP Networking and associated infrastructure
- Ability to communicate with all end users, including remote and offshore contractors
- Eager to proactively solve problems prior to escalation
- Ability to determine the root cause of issues through a methodical approach to troubleshooting
