Position Summary: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is looking for a full time Maintenance Tech I to work in our busy Plant Operations Department.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

§Assisting with repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities including painting, plastering, carpentry, and plumbing.

§Assists with repairs and overhaul of pumps and heat exchangers; removes and replaces coils; replaces valves and assists as directed with equipment on steam systems or boilers.

§Assists with the operation and helps maintains boilers; observes various meter and gauges and takes appropriate action for safe operation.

§Conducts scheduled maintenance checks; prioritizes repair and maintenance work to minimize disruption of hospital operations.

§Completes duties as assigned from hospital work order system and completes assigned PM (Preventative Maintenance) work within timeframes designated.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful incumbent will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Education/Experience: Certificate from college or technical school, or 1 years related experience preferred, but not required.
