Position: Jr. Project Manager

Location: Elizabeth City, NC- Onsite

Duration: Full-time with CompQsoft

Our Client: (United States Coast Guard) USCG

Job description

  • Provide comprehensive project management and task management support. 
  • Assume responsibility for managing project and/or task schedule in coordination with USCG personnel.
  • Liaison with customer and be able to communicate priorities and processes to team members.
  • Responsible for developing and updating standard documentation in accordance with USCG guidelines.
  • Be proficient in managing cross-functional teams in an enterprise IT system to include development, business analysis, technical writing, cyber security, operations, customer support.
  • Ensure teammates have necessary tools, information and accesses to complete tasking.
  • Establishes and maintains technical and administrative reports to show progress of teams/individual tasking to management and customer.
  • Ability to organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates and oversee the successful completion of all assigned IT tasks.
  • Experience to ensure the development, maintenance and implementation of Project Management Plans, technical specifications plans, and other documents that guide the performance of all functional and technical activities performed.
  • Experience with all phases of the Systems Development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience performing tasks focused on the leadership and/or task management of information systems engineering or systems integration projects.

Skills:

  • Six (6) years of experience providing technical direction and/or operational management in a IT environment.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience in addition to the six (6) years of experience.
  • B.A/A.A/A.S. in related field or at minimum Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
