- Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive wound care plans
- Providing patient education on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Administering medications as prescribed for wound management
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a similar role
- Proficiency in wound assessment, debridement, and dressing techniques
- Knowledge of various wound care products and their applications
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and best practices in wound management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments in complex wound cases
- Current nursing license in Texas
- BLS certification
