British Swim School is a nationwide provider of survival and stroke development swim lessons with an enhanced focus on a gentle, fun, and progressive aquatics program.

We are looking for fun-loving individuals to join our award-winning team of swim instructors in the Northern East Bay Area.

Our mission is to prevent accidental drownings by teaching children and adults, in a fun way, how to swim and enjoy the water safely.

British Swim School has been teaching swim lessons via our signature method for 40 years. We are confident we can train anyone on how to teach our curriculum - as long as they enjoy the water and have a passion for child development and helping children to make progress and succeed.

What else is there to know?

• You need to be a swimmer . Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• This is a year-round indoor position , and we are looking for longer-term employees.
• Be able to work weekend mornings from 8 : 45 am-1 : 30 pm
• Be able to work weekdays from 2 : 45 pm-8 : 00 pm
• You need to be able to reliably commute to our pool location in El Cerrito.
