KNF&T Staffing Resources is Hiring a Controller Near East Windsor, CT
- Entering and approving daily wires to receive and disburse funds on a daily basis
- Producing accurate financial statements and report preparation
- Reviewing, analyzing, & reporting on income and expense accounts
- Ensuring accurate postings to the general ledger & reconciliation of accounts
- Guiding team members in general journal entries from sale results
- Overseeing the month end close process
- Providing coaching on performance & resolving employee relations issues
- Training staff in all functions related to the accounting department
- Working closely with and managing the company’s accounts receivable and payable accounts team
- Serving as backup to executive payroll processing (in-house)
- Overseeing annual performance review process & pay increases
- Preparing quarterly and annual payroll tax return filings and monthly sales tax return statements
- Assisting the external CPA in completing annual tax returns and accompanying data
- Preparing & processing annual year end 1099’s for vendors
- Handling cash, wire transfers, checks; reconciling customers’ accounts
- Ensuring all team members are providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a culture of cooperation and congeniality for the team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- At least 5 years’ accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Proven track record & understanding of accounting principles, AR/AP, & collections procedures
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a desire & comfort level coaching, mentoring and developing employees to achieve meaningful results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Strong proficiency in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license
