We are searching for a diligent Assistant Controller to join our team within the Information Technology industry, based in EAST SYRACUSE, New York. As an Assistant Controller, you will be committed to managing a team of 5 and overseeing the daily accounting processes. Your role will encompass a range of functions, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, and financial analysis. Additionally, you will also be involved in projects to modernize our accounting processes.Responsibilities:• Manage the daily activities of the accounting department, ensuring efficient operations• Develop, maintain, and implement accounting policies and procedures to streamline processes• Supervise the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, maintaining accuracy in financial records• Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial trends to inform strategic decision making• Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure timeliness and accurate results• Manage the vendor master process, maintaining relationships with suppliers• Ensure the accurate and timely payment of all performance-based bonuses• Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring all purchasing requests are properly approved by management• Manage billings to customers and corresponding postings to the AR ledger• Maintain the general ledger and prepare reconciliations as needed• Process journal entries, ensuring accurate representation of company financesSkills:• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures• Experience in Team Management• Knowledge of Accounting Functions• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
