Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from customers wishing to ship items, providing them with excellent customer service.
- Gather necessary shipping information from customers, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with the appropriate carrier to arrange pickup of the freight.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and requests simultaneously.
- Utilize dispatching and logistics skills to ensure efficient and timely delivery of freight.
- Maintain strong and professional relationships with customers and carriers.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing customers with updates as needed.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the shipping process.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to optimize operations and customer service.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to shipping and customer service.
- Must have prior experience in dispatching or similar roles within the service industry.
- Proficiency in using dispatching software is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
