US Defense Contract Management Agency is Hiring a Management Assistant (OA) Near Eglin AFB, FL

Duties

  • Assists professional staff in conducting management reviews and organizational analysis by searching historical files/documentation.
  • Prepares statistical analysis.
  • Coordinates facility access.
  • Assembles audit materials and compiling data.
  • Develops and manages assigned databases including collecting, sorting, analyzing and charting data for management use.
  • Uses office automation, databases software, and printing equipment for a range of duties ie. data entry, data retrieval, data modification, printing of reports etc.
  • Performs a variety of administrative support duties and responsibilities for the Commander/Director Office including assisting with travel, setting up conference calls, answering and returning calls etc.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Management Assistant (OA), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Experience performing clerical support duties such as preparing correspondence.
  • Maintaining/updating database records.
  • Managing schedules and deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
B. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
C. Typing Proficiency Requirement: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

  • Highly-Qualified: This category will be used for those candidates who possess the type and quality of experience that substantially exceeds the minimum qualifications of the position, including all selective placement factors and appropriate quality ranking factor(s) as determined by the job analysis. To be Highly-Qualified, the candidates are considered by the Human Resources Office and the selecting official as being highly proficient in all the requirements of the job and can perform effectively in the position almost immediately or with a minimum amount of training and/or orientation. Those that have a cut-off score 97 and above and demonstrate in their resume they possess the competencies to perform effectively.
  • Well-Qualified: The next lower category (Well-Qualified) will be used for those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications of the position and are proficient in some, but not all, of the requirements of the position. Candidates may require some training but not in all areas. Those that have a cut-off score 80 to 96, and have demonstrated in their resume they possess the competencies to perform proficiently.
  • Qualified: This category will be used for the candidates that only meet the basic requirements and eligibilities. Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Those that have a cut-off score 70 to 79 and possess the competencies.
Names of the candidates in the Highly-Qualified category will be sent first to the hiring manager for employment consideration. Applicants in other categories will be referred in accordance with category rating procedures.
