Job Description:

As the Mixologist at The Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen, you will be the mastermind behind our cocktail program, responsible for crafting innovative and delicious libations that complement our taproom's vibrant atmosphere and culinary offerings. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Cocktail Creation: Develop a diverse and enticing cocktail menu that reflects current beverage trends while incorporating local and seasonal ingredients. Continuously innovate and experiment to introduce new flavors and concepts that excite our guests.

2. Beverage Preparation: Execute precise and consistent cocktail preparation techniques, ensuring that each drink is crafted with care and attention to detail. Maintain high standards of quality and presentation at all times.

3. Customer Interaction: Engage with patrons in a friendly and approachable manner, offering recommendations, answering questions, and providing insights into our beverage offerings. Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.

4. Training and Education: Collaborate with the bar staff to impart your knowledge and expertise in mixology, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's understanding of cocktail preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and menu offerings.

5. Inventory Management: Work closely with the management team to monitor beverage inventory levels, place orders for supplies as needed, and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

6. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies pertaining to alcohol service and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following proper sanitation procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in a high-volume hospitality environment, preferably within a craft cocktail bar or upscale restaurant setting, is preferred.

- Extensive knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, and cocktail ingredients, with a passion for exploring new flavors and techniques.

- Strong creativity and innovation skills, with the ability to develop unique and memorable cocktails.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

- Detail-oriented approach to beverage preparation, with a commitment to quality and consistency.

- Proficiency in basic math skills and inventory management principles.

- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is preferred.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
