Position Summary

Looma’s in-house Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and executing the design of highly polished client-facing materials. You will be responsible for interpreting content ideas from various, often C-suite company stakeholders, translating them into effective and elegant communications in line with the company’s brand standards. The core focus will be presentation deck design, but opportunities will extend to designing for our physical in-store experiences and on-screen graphics for our digital experiences. Much of our design work is white-labeled as retailer branding, so a strong grasp of styleguide interpretation will be prioritized, as will experience managing and shuffling priorities with variable timelines and deadlines.

You’ll bring energy and expertise to help elevate the work of a seasoned, collaborative, and enthusiastic creative team. This role reports to the Sr. Art Director and collaborates closely with the Creative Project Manager to ensure excellence across all design & brand work within the Content & Creative (C&C) department.

The responsibilities for this role can be split into three primary categories:

1. Graphic design (60%): effective interpretation of complex presentation & miscellaneous content into beautiful and clear design assets 
1. Presentation & pitch deck design 
2. Misc graphic design work 
2. Experience design (20%): assisting in the development of in-store graphics for big-name retailers that elevate the shopper experience while adhering to the brand standards 
1. Physical (fixtures, decor, etc) 
2. Digital (graphics, skins, etc)
3. Administrative/pipeline management (20%)
1. In collaboration with Sr. AD and CPM, ensure efficient prioritization, delegation, file management, versioning control across full portfolio of design projects to ensure stellar work is carefully managed and easy to find 
2. In collaboration with Sr. AD and CPM, identify processes, tools, or contractors to help our design & branding work scale with efficiency

Qualifications/Attributes

• Design degree and 3 years experience as an agency creative or in-house creative in a graphic design role (Mac OS environment using Adobe CC application suite).
• Demonstrated portfolio of strong presentation deck / information-design assets.
• Strong branding instincts: ability to interpret a style guide & develop assets that align with it. 
• Extreme detail-orientation: fastidiously consistent, organized, observant.
• Pragmatism and speed in equilibrium: able to recognize when projects can allow for a bit of extra creativity & space, and when to be pragmatic about artistic vision in the name of timeliness
• Humble: able to prioritize the wishes & vision of our clients & internal stakeholders.
• Flexible & nimble: able to shift priorities among multiple projects; accommodating constructive criticism and requests to perfect & polish priority work
• Personable & collaborative: your glass is half full, offering to solve problems rather than dwelling on challenges.
• Print production experience, strongly preferred.
• Experience with Asana or similar workflow software, strongly preferred. 
• Strong typographic skills, strongly preferred.

Structure & Compensation 

Looma will provide a competitive compensation package consisting of base salary and stock options. All Looma compensation packages include some cash / equity flexibility (i.e., you can opt for more equity and less cash or vice-versa).
