Childcare attendants work two hours in the church nursery as scheduled offering a welcoming and nurturing environment for children and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Sundays from approximately 9:30am to 11:30pm as scheduled and other dates as available.
• Understand and comply with protocols and procedures.
• Submit completed time sheets on the day of work.
• Interact with children and parents, helping to create a welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment.
• Tidying and cleaning of the nursery room and connected bathroom, as needed.

Accountability:

This position reports to the Lead Teacher. There will be a performance reviewannually. Performance reviews are focused on goal setting and dialogue about program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with infants and young children in an educational and/or religious education setting.
• Commitment to Unitarian Universalist values.
• Able to work respectfully with children and parents of diverse ethnicity, abilities, religious backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and oral communication skills.
• Must be 18 years old

Compensation and Hours:

This position is part-time. Weekly hours vary based on the program needs and staff scheduling. Childcare staff are compensated at an hourly rate of $12.00 per hour. Compensation is paid monthly.
