Gateway Christian Academy is Hiring an Elementary Teacher (K-5) Near Deltona, FL

Gateway Christian Academy (GCA) is a growing Christian private school serving children from Preschool – 4th grade. We are Christ-centered and Biblically based school with small class sizes. We are currently accepting applications for Teachers for the 2023-2024 school year.

Required Education:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited college/university
  • Elementary teaching experience preferred but not required. This is a perfect opportunity for a first year teacher.
  • Knowledge of ABeka Curriculum preferred
  • Valid state teaching certification is a plus but not required.

Required Personal Qualities:

  • Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
  • Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
  • Be a member in good standing at a local, evangelical church that has a Statement of Faith in agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must display strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Must have experience or ability to serve students with varying exceptionalities

Other:

  • Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening

Pay: From $24,000.00 per year
