- Production Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production teams to meet production targets and schedules
- Monitor and optimize production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to specs
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Provide guidance and training to ensure that team members are skilled and knowledgeable
- Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any production-related issues affecting product quality
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the production area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
- Production Planning:
- Work closely with production planners and schedulers to develop daily and weekly production plans
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production goals while maintaining cost-efficiency
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Coordinate maintenance activities for production equipment and machinery
- Ensure that equipment is in good working condition and initiate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the production workflow
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Communication:
- Communicate production goals, targets, and performance metrics to the production team
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality control, to ensure seamless production processes
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Must be able to work overtime
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
