Surge Staffing is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Delaware, OH

Job Title: Office Administrator (Lumberyard/Construction Environment)

Location: Delaware, OH

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: $18-24/hour

Type: Temporary (90 days) to Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Office Administrator in a lumberyard environment. As an integral part of our operations, you will play a key role in coordinating activities, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities throughout the company to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage front desk activities, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Manage agendas, travel plans, and appointments.
  • Handle emails, letters, packages, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
  • Support bookkeeping and budgeting procedures for the company.
  • Create and update databases and records for financial information, personnel, and other data.
  • Track and replenish office supplies as necessary to avoid interruptions in standard front office procedures.
  • Submit reports and prepare proposals and presentations as needed.
  • Assist colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, administrative assistant, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a lumberyard environment or construction industry is a plus.
