Deerfield Park District is Hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher Near Deerfield, IL
Be the leader that creates positive lasting memories for children of all ages!We are looking for:Part-Time (school year) Preschool Lead Teacher:Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - noon
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr
Essential Functions:
- Set up equipment and supplies for daily use.
- Plan and execute preschool curriculum.
- Instruct and supervise participants.
- Interact with children in various activities.
- Maintain communication with participants and parents.
- Obtain a list of medications, control and administer based on written consent.
- Observe behavior, assess appropriateness, and apply behavior management techniques.
- Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
- Follow the Deerfield Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Attends meetings, in-service trainings and conferences pertaining to child development and management, including reading as much material as possible relative to improvement of job performance.
- Works on special park district events pertaining to Preschool programs.
- Attends Preschool staff meetings whenever possible.
- Love working with children
- Patient and flexible
- Two or more years of early childhood work experience
- Appropriate certification to maintain DCFS certification for Preschool
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoys having fun
- Team player
