FlexStaff is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our clients team, a registered ISO 9001 technology company with ties to the Aerospace and Defense Industry. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and timely shipment of products to the required quality and specification. You would maintain and continuously improve processes and tools required for a top tier production facility. This position reports directly to the CTO.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Salary 110k-150k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Manage and supervise all operational activities, including production, logistics, inventory management, and quality control
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize resource allocation
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve operational goals
- Ensure that the department complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Drive sales initiatives and business development efforts to expand market share
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- BS and/or MS in Engineering with at least 7 years of related experience in a high technology custom production environment is essential.
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role
- Ideally experience of optics and opto-mechanical systems, tools and design.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Proficient at using ERP systems (currently working with E10 by EPICOR)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
