Description
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Dedham, MA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
Completing repair activities on generators or components
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Perform maintenance / repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of service
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development / certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
Intermediate) :
Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
Advanced) :
Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.
Understanding switchgear schematics.
Able to train Entry / Intermediate Technicians / Mechanics.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
Apprentice Certified Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Current relevant electrical certification
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and / or experience with of power generation products
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
Customer service experience
This is a union position. Successful candidate will be required to join union.
Hours are Monday-Friday 700AM-3 : 30PM Hours are Subject to change due to business needs.
This position will require a complete DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification file.
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
Compensation and Benefits Base
Level I - $35.06
Level II - $38.56
Level III - $41.56
$2.50 Field Service Premium
salary rate commensurate with experience.
