IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

DECATUR, ILLINOIS

MDI is seeking a dynamic IT Support Technician at our Decatur, Illinois facility responsible for providing support for all of the company’s technology-based systems (computers, tablets, phones, copier/printers, etc.). This position will provide hardware and software assistance to employees and will work with third party IT support as needed to resolve more complex issues. The position will also research new technologies and make recommendations to company management on needed improvements.

 Resolving IT support requests from employees

• Answering employee questions regarding all technology-based systems
• Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with technology-based systems
• Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer and phone issues
• Managing licenses for the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
• Updating employees on the status of their service requests
• Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed
• Working with third party IT support and vendors
• Managing all technology-based security and training

 Physical Demands

 Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds daily

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Education and Certification

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
• Two years of experience as a support technician preferred
• Valid Driver’s License 

Work is Onsite – No Remote Option. 

This is a full-time, in-person, salary position on day shift. To maintain full-time status, an individual must work 40 hours a week; Monday through Friday.
