Morgan Distributing, Inc. is an ExxonMobil Lubricant Distributor headquartered in Decatur, Illinois with 3 additional locations in Fairfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Valparaiso, IN.

We are currently seeking an Accounting Analyst & Payroll Specialist in Decatur, Illinois.

The Accounting Analyst & Payroll Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the company payroll including processing paychecks, maintaining files, processing reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. In addition, this position will oversee the Accounts Payable function, handle insurance issues, and provide other accounting support as needed by the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepares, reviews, and processes bi-weekly payroll for all company employees utilizing the ADP payroll system

● Prepares and files all required payroll related reports with external agencies

● Ensures compliance with all payroll laws and regulations

● Oversees Accounts Payable functions and serves as backup to the AP Specialist

● Reviews general ledger account coding for all payable runs

● Works with the company’s insurance agent, auditors, and claims adjusters to maintain proper insurance coverage and report, 

monitor, and record all company insurance issues

● Prepares various reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis to assist with the month-end

close process and preparation of financial statements

● Performs other general accounting and related duties as assigned
