Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician for a company in the Davison area. This is a contract position with the opportunity to go direct based on job performance, attendance, attitude, etc. This is a full-time position with traveling is required. Veterans welcome! Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in two, or more of the following: Clinical Lab in some capacity; Electronics / electrical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair; Mechanical troubleshooting and repair; Refrigeration diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair.
Education: Associate Degree or HS Diploma
Strong time management skills, must work independently, maintain an orderly workflow according to changing priorities, and maintain individual inventory and strong documentation skills
Must Possess a valid Driver’s license and meet fleet eligibility requirements
Must be willing to perform overnight travel
Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to starting
Responsibilities:
Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on Anatomic Pathology Specimen Preparation Equipment from multiple manufacturers
Uncovering root cause of customer frustration and understanding customer needs
Effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines to meet customer’s expectations
Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, CAP and Joint Commission Policies, as each may be applicable
Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives and service team members with system configurations and upgrades, and provide recommendations on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue
Maintain spare parts' stock within budgetary limits to improve customer up-time and field service-related metrics
Control expenses to maximize the profit contribution to the company
Represent the company in a professional manner to instill confidence with current and prospective customers of Leica products to achieve high customer satisfaction
Job Requirements:
Associates Degree with 1 years of experience or equivalent military experience
Travel throughout the district - this position services all of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. Travel is 70-90% with the possibility of overnight travel.
A valid driver’s license and meeting fleet eligibility requirements.
Preferred Experience:
Troubleshooting pathology and imaging equipment
Diagnosing and repairing medical devices
Field Service Engineering for electrical/mechanical/biomedical scientific instruments
