Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. The Accounting Technician will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including tax preparation, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Provide support during audits and assist with internal control procedures
- Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry and filing
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial services industry
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar programs
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data
- Knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger entries
- Proficient 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
