SUMMARY Quality Engineer works to ensure that manufactured products are produced at the highest level of quality. This includes working with and alongside the Production staff to continually improve manufacturing processes and resulting quality output, as well as ensuring quality products by properly defining and executing inspections and tests. Maintains and provides documentation of certifications, calibrations, and compliances per customer requirements. Production mainly consists of fabrication and/or assembly of electrical control panels and other related engineered systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary Responsibilities: Perform in-process or final inspections of critical assembly tasks or components. Prepare inspection plans for new production. Maintains and provides quality documentation and certifications based on Customer requirements Control generation of ECOs, ECNs, NMCRs, etc. Investigates CARs, and REAs, from the floor. Enforces quality and safety requirements based on current regulations Ensure that quality program is adhered to during all manufacturing processes. Trains Production staff on proper use of equipment and procedures. Documents problems and changes encountered in Production, implements Corrective Action. Guarantees validity of production documentation on floor. Performs time and motion studies. Immerse in incoming inspection, slow-moving inventory, workmanship auditing, motion studies and methods auditing Assist in annual review of ISO Quality manual. Additional Responsibilities: Maintain professional, technical, and computer knowledge via educational training/workshops/publications. Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures; report all unsafe activity to supervisor or Human Resources. Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Ensure up-to-date knowledge regarding the established quality program. Perform other duties as assigned in timely manner. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Degree: Bachelor of Engineering Degree Preferred Field of Study: Electrical/Mechanical EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Years: 4 Years Type: Similar or Production based role REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience Demonstrated knowledge of common quality processes and statistical techniques, including ISO9000 Fluent knowledge of personal computer application software Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, BOM parts lists, specifications and other technical documents. Knowledge of machine specifications, motion /process control, quality assurance and automated test techniques Good knowledge of standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, etc. Proven self-starter with excellent communication skills – verbal and written Attributes: Proven consistent, effective behaviors in the areas of: ob knowledge and continuous learning.
