Meeting Professionals International is Hiring a Manager, Education Near Dallas, TX

The Manager, Education oversees and delivers on MPI’s global educational strategy, managing certificate course delivery and implementing right-fit programs, certificates, prep-courses, e-learnings and sessions that answer current marketplace needs. As part of the design and execution of MPI’s educational strategy, this position activates the various stages of education for MPI Academy programming and ensures speakers, instructors and educators deliver high-quality educational content. The Manager, Education works to ensure MPI’s event programming drives member value, fills the needs of members as indicated by survey results and focus groups, and leads to increased enterprise profitability. This position also oversees MPI’s portfolio of certificate programs and university partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with subject matter experts to create and manage new content, sessions, certificates, prep-courses and e-learnings as needed by MPI internal stakeholders, external partners and member communities. (25%)
  2. Execute the MPI Academy learning strategy by identifying and closing gaps, recommending innovative solutions and implementing certificates, sessions, prep-courses and e-learnings that deliver value to the organization, membership base and industry. (5%)
  3. Manage partnerships and projects with universities and certificate providers, including MPI’s pool of certificate instructors and their assignments. Track, measure, report and evaluate performance. Oversee the content development process as needed, i.e., project plans and vendor budgets. (30%)
  4. Measure and evaluate the success of learning programs based on surveys, social media, interviews, focus groups and staff observation to determine the level of learning at MPI’s meetings and events. Incorporate findings into product and service optimization, and update programs, sessions and certificates, as needed. (5%)
  5. Connect with students, answer questions and emails, prepare course materials and ensure an exemplary learning experience for MPI’s certificate classes and courses. (20%)
  6. Actualize revenues post-course, issue certificates and badges and add students to MPI databases. Submit student information to the Events Industry Council and keep Aptify records up to date to ensure that their transcripts and member records reflect the courses they took. (15%)

Travel – less than 20% annually

EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more years’ experience in education, adult learning, training and development, management and/or industry experience
  • Five of more years’ experience coaching speakers and instructors / train-the-trainer

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’ degree in adult learning or education or five or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
