Eastridge is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Dallas, TX

Job Summary

The CNC Specialist will program, set up, and run all CNC Lathes and Mills to produce Quality parts. Reads complex blueprints and builds tooling from sketches, part drawings or verbal instructions using Creo 3.0 or other CAD/CAM Software.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • (20%) Program from 3-D Solid Modeling, Creo 3.0
  • (10%) Apply advanced shop trigonometry
  • (15%) Interpret complicated mold cavity prints and manufacture the components to print specifications
  • (15%) Teach required Tool Room Personnel for the CNC Specialist classification
  • (20%) Build and oversee new Die Cast Tools
  • (20%) Machine Graphite Electrodes on high speed CNC mill
  • Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have journeyman's card or formal apprenticeship in tool and die making and/or 6-8 years’ experience. 
  • 10 years’ experience as a CNC operator on Mill and Lathe Machines
  • Experience with CAD-CAM and Computer NC programming. 
  • Design experience in developing, designing, and programming electrodes.

Required Skills:

  • Willingness to learn and use other programs to increase efficiency of the Tool Room.
  • Must be able to read complex blueprints and build tooling from sketches, part drawings or verbal instructions using Creo 3.0 or other CAD/CAM Software. 
  • Ability to design special tooling cutters. 
  • Understand how to operate a CNC lathe and mill effectively (i.e. know proper feed rates, limitations of tool cutters, etc.). 
  • Work with minimum supervision. 
  • Must have a complete knowledge of all Tool Room equipment and procedures.
  • Must be able to run and set up multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and works well with other personnel.
