Maverick Concepts LLC is Hiring a CNC Operator - 2nd Shift Near Dallas, TX

Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on CNC Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift (4pm - 1am). The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts and products for our clients. The CNC Operator will be required to perform various tasks such as programming, operating, and maintaining the machines. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling and laser operations.
  • Interpret job tickets, engineering drawings, shop drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished part, as well as the sequence of operations.
  • Develop CNC programs and adjust settings to control the speed and feed of the machines.
  • Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure that they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with CNC machines and make necessary adjustments and repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep them in good working order.
  • Collaborate with production team members to ensure that production schedules are met.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a CNC operator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
  • Knowledge of speeds and feeds for various materials
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to adhere to them at all times.
