Job Summary :
Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is hiring an Inventory Specialist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Professional & Operational Support Services in Dahlgren, Dahlgren requires on-site operational support for day-to-day operations of the Corporate Operations Department, Property Management Division in the areas of general equipment and operating materials & supplies (OM&S), distribution, disposal and reverse logistics, and screening of supply and stock requirements.
Specifically, this position supports equipment tagging and inventory management.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities :
Conduct inventory of containers; assist with the proper packing of containers; and validate shipping manifests against container contents.
Interface directly with NSWCDD Technical Departments, local government POCs, Subject Mater Experts (SME), NSWCDD Inventory Specialists and Procurement Analysts, NSWCDD Personal Property Manager (PPM), NSWCDD Organizational Property Administrators (OPA), and the Container Control Officer (CCO).
Update standard operating procedures and process guides as needed.
Provide accurate and reliable metrics data that affect financial and operational reporting for Leadership.
Complete daily N-ERP transactions accurately to ensure new assets are recorded within required timeline.
Support Property Management meetings as needed.
Attend local training and knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.
Complete daily N-ERP transactions accurately with no errors to ensure new assets are recorded within 7 days of receipt.
Complete daily N-ERP actions (updates, issue transactions, accurately with no errors daily.
Complete physical inventories of property in defined timeframes.
Conduct spot check inventories as required.
Conduct stock screening to maintain service level agreement daily.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly Property reports including inventory, property pass, MILSTRIP, Stock Screening, OM&S and GE.
Assist with training technical customers new processes developed for property screening and material management offsite.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Must hold and maintain a DoD-issued Secret security clearance.
Associate's degree, or three to five years of work experience.
Experience with inventory management, procurement, or purchasing.
Working experience utilizing N-ERP for inventory control.
Ability to work independently across multiple online data bases to resolve issues and respond to customer requests.
Must be a detail-oriented and customer-focused team member.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Desired Qualifications :
Three years of related experience in inventory management.
Experience with creating Unique Material Master (UMM) records in N-ERP.
