Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas is Hiring a Social Studies Teacher Near Dallas, TX

Jesuit Dallas Social Studies Teacher
Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach Government and Psychology in a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to:
  • Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
  • Teach, in cooperation with course level teams, five sections of Government and AP Psychology.
  • Collaborate with members of the Social Studies Department in on-going curriculum development and review.
  • Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
  • Engage in on-going professional development.
  • Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Government, Psychology, or related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience teaching in a Standards Aligned Curriculum preferred.
  • Ability to coach high school athletics preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
  • May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
