Cook Duties:

  • Prepares and serves all food items and meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes ensuring all meals and food prepared are palatable and appetizing. Assist in food preparation for special meals, parties, events, etc.
  • Inspects special diet requests and orders to assure that the correct diet is being served.
  • Assists, when requested, in the purchasing of food and supplies. Ensure that stock levels of staple/non staple food, supplies, equipment, etc., are always maintained to adequate levels.
  • Checks in all purchases in the absence of the Dining Services Director. 
  • Responsible for all cleaning tasks
  • Performs other duties consistent with position as assigned

Cook Qualifications:

  • CPR/First Aid certified, preferred
  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to health and safety in food preparation. (ServSafe Certification, a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability in food preparation and services.
  • Minimum two years previous cooking experience
