Salary Range: $13.00 - $13.00 Hourly

Description

Job Title: Room Attendant

Pay: $13.00 p/h

Location: Crystal River, FL

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Cleans hotel guest rooms and/ or other assigned areas in a timely and organized manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cleans and services assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
  • Notifies front desk when service is complete so rooms may be sold. Reports any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor.
  • Reports needed repairs of unsafe conditions to housekeeping leadership.
  • Responds to requests from guests, supervisors or management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintains linen cart and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
  • Maintains security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day.
  • Reports lost and found articles to housekeeping leadership.
  • Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers, other departments, and leadership
  • Create a positive work environment by providing exceptional customer service to staff, members, and guests
  • Ensure all cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures meet and/or exceed Resort standards
  • Sweep, scrub, floors and patios as needed.
  • Empty waste baskets, clean ashtrays.
  • Assist Housekeeping to maximize the efforts of the entire Housekeeping Department in order to ensure compliance with all standards of customer satisfaction, cleanliness, productivity and efficiency set by the Resort.
  • Must be able to multi task and work well within departments.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are put back into their proper place
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Completes any additional duties assigned.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Position requires full flexibility in scheduling to work AM/PM, weekends & holidays. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
  • Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Will be required to work with common household chemicals.
  • Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
  • Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred
  • Must be able to work alone with little or no supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as lifting bending, twisting, climbing, etc.
  • Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull at least 50lbs.
  • Exposure to various types of Florida weather conditions including: sunshine, heat, and rain.
  • May regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic/caustic chemicals
