Chimney Works is Hiring a Foreman Near Crofton, MD

Chimney Works, LLC., a family-owned and operated commercial chimney installation company is looking for a Install Crew Leader to join the team. Chimney Works, LLC is an industry leader having served the Maryland, DC & Virginia area for over 10 years, and we’re continuing to expand while other companies are slowing down. We’re looking for a Sheet Metal Mechanic with knowledge of commercial construction, sheet metal & HVAC industries who can accurately assemble prefabricated flue systems for the purpose of commercial chimney installations. We install boiler, generator, and grease ducts all over the DMV area. Growth is vital to our company, but not at the expense of our excellent customer service. If you have experience as a sheet metal mechanic or a background in general construction and want to create a long-term career for yourself within a growing organization, Chimney Works, LLC would like to speak with you.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivery and Installation of commercial prefabricated chimney systems
  • Demo and reconstruction of existing flue systems
  • The rigging and hoisting of flue systems
  • Working with project managers and contractors on-site to complete projects quickly and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identifying potential installation issues and developing creative solutions to complete projects safely and on time
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment for the team
  • Communicate daily with Operations Manager and Sales Team
  • Daily photo documentation of completed work
  • Training new installation team members
  • Maintain adequate stock of materials and tools on company truck to complete jobs efficiently
  • Documenting credit card purchases
  • Possible travel to various cities with per diem

Successful Candidates Must be:

  • Experienced in sheet metal work, HVAC, construction, or related industry. 5 years experience preferred
  • Safety oriented – OSHA 40 preferred
  • Mechanically inclined and familiar with the use of hand & power tools
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to read plans and blueprints
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Comfortable with year-round outdoor work
  • Comfortable climbing ladders & scaffolding
  • Familiar with the use of standard tools
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Be able to pass background check & have a clean driving record. Must maintain valid drivers license.
