Specialty Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

· Computer inputting of the customer prescription data

· Communicate with customers, doctor offices and providers over the phone

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of experience working with Specialty Medications

· High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

· Ability to jump into new and unfamiliar settings with an eagerness to help

· Ability to follow directions, and focus on tasks at hand

· Experience at a health plan or with processing medication prior authorizations

· Follow up on open prior authorizations with the health plan to ensure the prior authorizations are resolved/completed in a timely manner

· Experience with co-pay assistance and foundation funding

· Valid California pharmacy technician license in good standing with the board

· Bilingual preferred

· Knowledge of brand and generic drugs by name

· Pharmacy Technician certification

· Must pass background and drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
