REPORTS TO: Children’s Program Coordinator, Director of Programs and Services
SUPERVISES: Volunteer and/or Support Personnel
HOURLY: $16 an hour (8-12 hours a week, with potential for additional hours)

Summary
The Children’s Program Specialist is responsible for supervising and caring for the children of attendees during our Program Night and other events of the Epilepsy Support Network of Orange County, as well as supporting the overall program needs, such as assigning in further program development, and maintaining relationships with members.

REQUIREMENT: Available the Second Friday of every month from 5:00pm-9:30pm. Other hours are flexible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Childcare providers should have experience working with both typical and special needs children.
Specific desired qualifications include:
1. Ability to manage the children under a structured environment and supervise activities and safety.
2. Ability to supervise volunteers.
3. Ability to communicate with parents.
4. Understanding of the needs and behaviors of children with epilepsy (ESNOC will provide training.)
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
· Experience (2 years) working with children of all ages, including children with special needs.
· ABA experience desired
· Training in Seizure Recognition and First Aid (ESNOC will provide training).
· Training in Epilepsy 101 (ESNOC will provide training)
· CPR Training
Government Clearances:
· Live Scan fingerprinting – Upon Hiring
