We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will handle front desk responsibilities, patient inquiries, and provide administrative support in a medical office setting.
**Duties:**
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Utilize medical scheduling systems to coordinate patient appointments
- Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Manage patient communications through phone, EHR, text, and in-person professionally
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to support efficient patient flow
- Handle front desk tasks such as check-in, check-out, and collecting co-pays
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Knowledge of Athena software is a plus
- Ability to operate phone systems and handle multiple lines efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
