Comfort Care Home Care is Hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) Near Coraopolis, PA

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare professional
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as directed by the healthcare team
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with medical procedures, such as catheter care and wound dressing changes
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

Skills:

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic patient care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to perform basic nursing tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medication
- Experience in hospice care is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in meal preparation for patients with specific dietary needs
