Douglas Companies is Hiring a Receiving Clerk Near Conway, AR

Summary of position: The Receiving Clerk is responsible loading and unloading finished goods, or in-house items on company trucks to ensure timely deliveries to customer locations on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Functions

· Review and verify processes and goods prior to being loaded or unloaded, for accuracy to customer locations.

· Mark and tag all goods with appropriate identification tag.

· Must utilize pallet jack vehicle, and if needed a forklift vehicle for handling and moving product to the appropriate location.

· Secure load of product with pallets while moving from dock to designated area in warehouse.

· Must be able to understand and utilize scanner.

· Must be able to understand and perform basic mathematics

· Conduct daily material handling vehicle checklist inspections.

· Able to use inventory cycle count devices.

· Responsible for inventory tracking.

· Scan customer orders.

· Secure dock plate.

· Wheel chock trailers before entering the trailer with forklift vehicle.

· Maintain aisles clear of cardboard, debris, pallets, products, shrink wrap plastic, etc.

· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and comply with company work and safety regulations.

· Work independently and in a team environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 38 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency.

Be 18 years or older.

Be able to speak, read, write English and understand the English Language, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.

Be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check if applicable.

Have basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.

Have good communication skills.

Maintain material handling forklift vehicle certification and keep current. (if applicable)

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
