Blake Equipment is seeking an experienced Service Technician.
Our ideal candidate would be a heavy equipment diesel mechanic with experience in troubleshooting and repairing well drilling equipment.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot all aspects of customer well drilling equipment
Diagnostics
Repair diesel and gas engines
Repair hydraulic systems
Repair electrical systems
Be able to drive heavy equipment
Work with manufacturers to obtain parts
Process repair work paperwork for invoicing
Travel through New England and the east coast to make repairs as needed (up to 75% travel is required)
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Perform other related duties as needed
Position QualificationsSkills and Abilities
Minimum 2 Years Experience Working On Heavy EquipmentDiagnostics
Documentation
Hydraulic systems experience
Electrical systems experience
Ability to Weld and Fabricate
CDL License is a plus but not required
Experience driving large trucks and equipment
Knowledge of large screw compressors
Self starter and able to work alone with a strong work ethic
Strong customer service skills
Able to communicate and work well with others
Able to travel and spend time away from home
Clean D.O.T.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
