Role And Responsibilities
- Source the required materials based on Bill Of Material (“BOM") for battery cells and modules from the designated suppliers not only in US but globally.
- Manage global SCM management; conduct sourcing plan including materials’ quantities and delivery dates in conjunction with factory plan.
- Monitor vendors to ensure on time deliveries to support manufacturing, materials within quality standard specifications, costs and discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled
- SCM/logistic planning and optimization
- Conduct cost analysis for driven gap between plan / target and actual purchase of material cost.
- Manage 4M schedule and follow up with HQ procurement team
- Execute risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategies
- Update and maintain information to include: material description, HTSUS, No duty ratio, origins; manufacturer, agent, and supplier-company / certification / factory address / material picture / unit price / PO quantity / amount / packing method / basic quantity per packing unit (pallet, bag, etc.) and basic quantity per delivery method (truck, 20 ft. container, etc.)
- Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications
- Leads the analysis of a specific commodity data and industry trends or leads and individual supply chain sub-category; reports report results to managers
- Conduct industry deep dive analysis to provide insight on sourcing strategies 1 - 3 years out
- Develop and negotiates long term relationships with strategic local vendors, including supplier managed inventory objectives
- Perform other procurement-related duties and tasks as may be assigned or expected
- Korean language proficiency required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field from accredited university
- Minimum of 3-year experience with MRP-ERP business systems. Full working knowledge of supply chain systems with implementation experience.
- 3 years procurement experience, working directly in supply chain systems life cycle.
- 5 years writing and negotiating contracts, contract governance, and going through the contract lifecycle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- (Preferred) Certified Purchasing Manager, APICS (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
- (Preferred) Experience in automotive/chemical manufacturing industry
